Top winter sun destinations in the UAE
Trying to escape the wind and the rain this winter? Look no further than the UAE – its desert climate means it is hot all year round and in winter temperatures average a wonderful 23˚C. And since it also has a spectacular coastline, it’s the perfect place for a hot winter getaway.

To make the most of your trip it’s important to know where to go, so here’s a rundown of its top winter sun destinations – trust us, you’ll be hopping on a plane quicker than you can say ‘Abu Dhabi’.

Dubai

Dubai is a popular city break with visitors from all over the world, but it’s also one of the best places to catch some rays this winter.

The winter months remain warm and as you’ll see when you land at Dubai airport, it’s got a spectacular coastline. Glittering white sand and turquoise waters await you and it’s common in Dubai for hotels to have their own private beaches so that you can enjoy the luxurious coastline away from the crowds.

Jumeirah is one of the most popular beach resorts close to the city. Home to a world-class Hilton hotel and the Palm Jumeirah, it has all the right foundations for a wonderful winter break.

Ras Al-Khaimah

Ras Al-Khaimah is the northernmost Emirate and home to gorgeous white sandy beaches and luxurious holiday resorts. Due to its distance from Dubai it’s a less crowded and more peaceful choice.

It also has some of the most pristine beaches in the UAE and is just 50 minutes from Dubai International Airport – making it easily accessible to visitors from all over the world. But it’s not just about relaxing on the beach – Ras Al Khaimah offers more lively activities like horse riding and quad biking. And if you like golf, you can play a round of golf at one of Ras Al-Khaimah’s championship golf courses.

Abu Dhabi

Alternatively, you could head to Abu Dhabi. It’s a much calmer city than Dubai and is located on a large island surrounded by other islands – making it a perfect beach-hopping location on the Persian Gulf.

Like in Dubai, many hotels have their own private beaches, giving your winter escape an extra touch of luxury. Enjoy beach bars, private pools and dinner on the sand and if you stay at the Hilton Abu Dhabi Hotel, you’ll become a member of the Hiltonia Beach Club, which gives you exclusive access to a private beach, luxury spa, island tours and fishing trips.

So as the cold weather sets in this winter, don’t let it get you down – escape the cold by heading straight to the UAE.
